Dennis,
I downloaded Mr.Zheng’s Wuxingquan and put 2 of them on my blog to let my friends in China watch. I may put the rest 3 on it too. but I’d like to know how do you think of it. If you feel uncomfortable about the videos on my blog, I can delete them. Otherwise, I will keep them there to show that there are other ways to perform Xingyiquan, not just a show as you see from most China websites.

Mark, you can’t learn martial arts from videos. I would like to suggest you to get a teacher, these videos only function as reference, notes and inspiration to well-established Xingyiquan practitioners.

I keep on wathcing Mr. Zheng’s video for a while and like it very much. I learned a lot from the vidoe. Thanks for that. I am a Xingyi lover but no chance to learn form a master. Recently I tried to introduce the Mr. Zheng’s Wuxingquan to my friends in China. I wad told that they have problem to go to your website and also Youtube website to watch the video from the internet of China(I myself living at Canada). I do not know why? May be bocked or something else. Could you give me some suggestions how to solve the problem? or can I get a copy of it if convenent?

Well, China government has built a great wall (official known as The Golden Shield Project) which is an internet censorship and surveillance project, therefore all websites hosted outside mainland China are slow for China internet users due to the censoring process. Furthermore, websites likes youtube, facebook, twitter, flickr, google, etc. are totally blocked by the firewall.
You can download all the videos via RealPlayer SP software or any other youtube downloaders.

Sorry, my shifu, Zheng Mingxing, doesn’t speak a single word of English. These videos were not filmed with an intention of being instructional videos, they were references for those who train under him. Some of the stuff (which are not so basic) in these videos may lead to confusion if you are not training under him, therefore I decided to leave them as they are. The purpose of putting these videos here is to introduce Zheng’s Xingyiquan.
I’m planning to film a series of (properly planned) Zheng’s Xingyiquan videos when I travel to China in this coming summer of 2011, I’ll try my best to provide an English subtitle for this new series.
