Yan Chengde (严承德) was born in Ningbo of Zhejiang Province in 1935. Yan began his studies of martial arts under Zhu Guiting (褚桂亭, 1892 – 1977) in 1950 for 20 years. He is currently holding a 6th duan (dan) in China Wushu Association’s grading system and the president of Guiting Internal Martial Arts Association.
