- Wu Shijun – The Theory of Xingyiquan and I Ching
Wu Shijun (武世俊) was born in Beijing in 1945. As a tradition of most martial arts families who originated from Shanxi Province, Wu started martial arts at a particular young age of 5 in the art of Xingyiquan under the guardianship of his father. Wu also learned other northern martial arts, such as Tongbeiquan, Bafaquan, Chaquan etc., when he was 8 years old. Wu Shijun learned the art of Chen Style Taijiquan from Tian XiuChen (田秀臣) while he was attending university in Bejing in 1966. Wu Shijun began his martial arts teaching career in 1967, he was teaching Xingyiquan and other northern martial arts during early period, he began to teach Taijiquan at Datong City of Shanxi Province in 1974.
Wu Shiju is the project director of “Chinese Martial Arts Show Project” DVD series, lecturer of the graduate school of the faculty of Martial Arts of Renwen University, honorary president of Chinese Sanshou Association, committee member of Shanxi Xingyiquan Institute, committee member of Shanxi Push-Hand Institute, consultant of Ziwu Gongfu Institute, honorary president of Xian Zhaobao Taijiquan Institute, and the chairman of Datong Chen Style Taijiquan Institute.
