Li Lide (李立德), from Tianjin and currently living in Shanghai, is the creator of Hai Style Xingyiquan. Hai Style Xingyiquan is translated as “Revolutionary and Practical Xingyiquan”, as shown at the beginning of Li’s Hai Style Xingyi Instructional series.
Li Lide was a student of Song Style Xingyiquan master, Li Xuzhou (李旭洲 1903 – 1962) and the junior of creator of Lu’s Structures, Lu Zhongren (卢忠仁, student of Li Xuzhou). Li was skilled in Shuaijiao (Chinese Wrestling) at young age, he used to engage into Shuaijiao challenge matches during his teenage years. Li has challenged three Shuaijiao clubs at Tianjin in one day and he won all of them (of cause, those schools or clubs has to close down as a result of their losses). Li has also learned Lu’s Structures from his senior, Lu Zhongren.
