Gong Guoping (巩国平) is a Song Style Xingyiquan practitioner, he also has a background of “Lu’s Structures” training. The fundamental drills and exercises in this video are from “Lu’s Structures”.
“Lu’s Structures” (卢氏结构), also known as “The Structural Principles of Inner Functions of Chinese Martial Arts”, was a research based upon Chinese internal martial arts funded by Tianjin Wushu Association. As the research was led by Lu Zhongren (卢忠仁, third generation Song Style Xingyiquan practitioner), thus, it named as “Lu’s Structures” in short. “Lu’s Structures” uses science, bio-mechanics, maths, anatomy etc. as teaching means instead of Yin-Yang, Wuxing (Five-Element) or Bagua (Eight-Trigram) of the old schools. “Lu’s Structures” teaches principles, training drills and exercises, not taolu (form) of the traditional way. The research was suspended later due to lack of funding.
